July 14, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Prince Nduka Obaigbena on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
Obaigbena is the Chairman and Editor-In-Chief of Thisday Newspaper, Arise Magazine and the Ariss News Channel.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu notes the enterprising spirit of Obaigbena.
“President Tinubu notes the enterprising spirit of the former President of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN), who founded ThisWeek Magazine, and later, THISDAY Newspapers, Arise Magazine, and The Arise News Channel.
“The President prays for greater achievements for the renowned publisher, whose philanthropic efforts, especially in education, have demonstrated his passion for human development”, thew statement added.
Similarly, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu on Sunday congratulated Prince Obaigbena on his 65th birthday.
Kalu in a congratulatory message by his SA Press Affairs, Udora Orizu noted Obaigbena’s remarkable role and contributions to the growth and development of the media industry in Nigeria.
He said Obaigbena’s efforts in social and economic spheres have positioned him as one of the most respected media gurus in the African continent and beyond.
Kalu lauded the Duke of Owa kingdom for his visionary and adventurous leadership style and positioning of two major media organisations to provide a strong platform for informing and educating people.
“I congratulate my friend and brother, Prince Nduka Obaigbena as he turns 65 today. His tremendous contributions in the media industry are well noted and the impact immensely felt.
“He has contributed a great deal in the promotion journalism profession in the country and beyond. I wish him a wonderful birthday celebration and many more fruitful years ahead”, he said.
