July 24, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, at the State House, Presidential Villa, received former senate president, Anyim Pius Anyim.
Anyim led the senate between 2000 and 2003 and later served as Secretary to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria (2011–2015) under the administration of former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
The former SGF, who officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) on July 13, was led to the State House on Wednesday, by governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo state and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state.
Speaking with State House correspondents, Anyim said he decided to join the APC in national interest.
On the state of the nation and the planned protest by youths, Governor Uzodimma advised those behind the idea to take the peaceful path by bringing their issues to the dialogue table.
