Tinubu Congratulates NEPZA MD/CEO On Election To Board Of World Free Zone Organisation

October 10, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA), Olufemi Ogunyemi, on his election to the Board of the World Free Zone Organisation (WFZO).

The President in a statement issued on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, described Ogunyemi’s election as a significant milestone for Nigeria, reflecting the nation’s ongoing economic reforms.

According to the President, Ogunyemi’s international recognition highlights Nigeria’s efforts to reposition its economy for growth and global competitiveness.

President Tinubu commended Ogunyemi for his leadership in transforming NEPZA into a globally competitive institution, creating new export platforms, and attracting investment opportunities.

He further emphasised that Ogunyemi’s achievement aligns with the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to foster long-term sustainable economic growth through increased foreign direct investment.

The President expressed confidence that Ogunyemi will use his new role to elevate Nigeria’s standing on the global economic stage.
