November 08, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress and producer, Yvonne Jegede, on Monday heaped praises on herself as a movie which she co-produced, ‘Marrying a Campbell’, received nine out of 10 awards at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival.
The actress took to her Instagram page to display the awards.
According to the film star, she is a scriptwriter and actor for the movie.
She wrote, “I co-produced a movie Marrying A Campbell to be released 2022. Story by Yvonne Jegede. Script by Yvonne Jegede, Patrick Nnamani and Jane Odogwu.
“I acted and I co-Executive produced. We just bagged nine out of 10 awards at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. Allow me to brag because I brag different.”
She also listed the award categories won by the movie in the just conducted festival. The awards include Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor (African Film), Best Movie Director Africa, Best First Feature – Africa, Best Comedy Drama – Nollywood, and Best Movie Producer – Africa.
‘Marrying a Campbell’ was directed by Ayana Saunders and it featured Nollywood stars Chelsea Eze, Bolanle Ninolowo, Dave Ogbeni, and others.
