Three-Time American Olympic Medalist Tori Bowie Dies At 32

May 03, (THEWILL) – Tori Bowie, the renowned sprinter, who won three medals at the 2016 Olympics, has passed away at the age of 32, according to her representatives.

Bowie’s accomplishments in Rio de Janeiro included a gold medal in the 4×100 metre relay, a silver medal in the 100 metres, and a bronze medal in the 200 metres. She went on to win the 100m at the 2017 world championships in London.

In response to the news, Icon Management expressed their sorrow in a social media post, describing Bowie as a “champion” and a “beacon of light.” USA Track and Field also mourned the loss of the three-time Olympic medalist, saying that her “impact on the sport is immeasurable.”

Bowie was found dead at her home in Florida. A cause of death has not yet been released.

In a separate announcement, World Athletics confirmed the passing of Olympic medalist Calvin Davis, who won a bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Davis was 51 years old at the time of his passing.
