“There Are No Record Labels Anymore” – D’banj Laments On The State Of Record Labels In Nigeria

BEVERLY HILLS, April 25, (THEWILL) – During a recent media hangout with MTV Base, D’banj lamented the state of record labels in Nigeria saying that they all died after Mo’Hits.

He said, “There is no need in deceiving ourselves. Record labels in Nigeria died after Mo’hits and that’s the truth. There are no record labels anymore.”

“Any artiste that can buy a laptop, produce a song with it, get his uncle to pay for video would say he has a record label. That is not a record label.”

He also revealed he’s currently working on a new project that will create a platform where upcoming artistes or producers can easily connect with the more established ones.
