It may seem as though the 2022 World Cup is still pretty far away, but realistically the sporting event will come around sooner than you think. Although hosted later in the year, those that are hoping to do well in the tournament will already be well underway with an extensive training regime. After all, the World Cup takes strength, stamina and skill to do well at the event so it stands to reason that some advance preparation is needed. As teams start to consider their player options and players work towards fitness goals for the World Cup, experts will be making their predictions for the World Cup and fans will be eager to see who is tipped to do well. So, who should we be watching in the FIFA Soccer 2022 World Cup? Let’s take a look at the top 3 teams to pay attention to.

England

England have a mixed history with success in the World Cup but that doesn’t stop them from being considered as a team to keep an eye on this year. England generally put together a strong squad for tournaments like this and the 2022 World Cup is likely to be an exception. England hasn’t had the most successful lead up to the football tournament so far, with being beaten in both the last World Cup and the European Championships, so people may consider that they’re a team that aren’t destined to do well. However, in the past England have come out fighting when they’re against such odds and England fans will certainly be hoping that this is the case. It is likely that England manager Gareth Southgate will be concentrating on building an England squad with a strong attack tactic, which is likely to help their chances of being successful.

Germany

Another team that often features in the to watch line-up of the World Cup is Germany and 2022 is certainly no exception. Of course, we all remember when they were beaten by England in the last -16 stage of the 2020 Euros, but football fans will tell you that the German team have had an overhaul since then and are basically a different team altogether – giving German football fans confidence in how well their beloved team will do in this year’s tournament.  One great move that Germany have done is to recruit Hansi Flick onto their team – who brings an outstanding track record of matches with him.

France

They may have been knocked out of the Euro 2020 at the last-16 stage, but France are another team that are kicking back and look set to do well this year. Much like Germany and other teams that didn’t fare so well in the 2020 Euros France have made some drastic changes to their team which puts them in a much stronger position when it comes to the World Cup. Fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing what players such as Karim Benzema bring to the table.

Of course, there is no denying that we are a good few months away from any solid World Cup announcements and as sports fans will tell you, things can change really quickly. However, players will be working hard on improving their prospects and that of their teams. The World Cup is one of the most important events in the football calendar and as such, it is something that no one wants to enter unprepared. Football fans will need to keep an eye on industry news and sporting websites to see what happens in advance of the World Cup, but either way, the 2022 tournament is looking set to be an exciting one.
