The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has challenged former Bayelsa State Governor, Timipre Sylva, to make himself available for questioning over an alleged $14.86 million fraud, hours after he accused the anti-graft agency of operating as an arm of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sylva’s resignation, contained in a letter dated August 31, 2026, addressed to the APC Chairman in Ward 4, Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, comes amid an ongoing legal battle arising from Federal Government allegations that he was involved in an alleged plot to overthrow the Tinubu administration.
