August 14, (THEWILL) – Juventus announced on Wednesday, that Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, has left the club after seven years.
The 34-year-old joined the Italian giants in 2017, taking over from legendary keeper Gianluigi Buffon. During his tenure, Szczesny played 252 matches and kept 103 clean sheets for Juventus.
The club stated that both parties agreed to a mutual termination of the contract. Szczesny’s departure comes as Juventus look to rebuild under new coach Thiago Motta. The team has already recruited Michele Di Gregorio from Monza as a replacement.

Juventus expressed gratitude for Szczesny’s contributions, describing him as a dedicated player who wore the club’s jersey with pride and professionalism. The club wished him luck in his future endeavours.
Reports suggest that Szczesny may be heading to a club in Saudi Arabia, though no official confirmation has been made regarding his next destination.
