April 19, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has announced that the Super Falcons will play another grade A friendly ahead of the 2023 World Cup.
The tournament is set to take place in Australia/New Zealand, and the Nigerian team is looking to improve on its record in the competition. The team under Randy Waldrum’s leadership has played a series of friendly games, and the NFF is now making plans to help the team excel.
“The board stated that it will do even more to prepare the team for the big challenge with another grade A friendly match in Europe and a two-week camping in Australia before the kick-off of the tournament on 20 July,” said the NFF in a recent statement.
With just three months left until the start of the competition, the NFF is pulling all stops to ensure that the Super Falcons are well-prepared for the tournament.
In his part, Waldrum said: “The friendly games and camping will help us to identify areas where we need to improve and make necessary adjustments. We are looking forward to the challenge ahead and we are confident that with the right preparation, we can make Nigeria proud.”
