February 13, (THEWILL) – Kansas City Chiefs came out on top in a thrilling Super Bowl 57 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, securing their second championship title in four years.

The game, which was held in Phoenix, saw the Chiefs fall behind for much of the game and heading into the final quarter, they were down by a score of 27-21. However, quarterback, Patrick Mahomes and coach, Andy Reid, orchestrated a comeback that saw them secure a 38-35 victory in front of a crowd of 67,827.

Mahomes, who was named the season’s Most Valuable Player for a second time last week, made touchdown passes to Kadarius Toney and Skyy Moore, putting the Chiefs in the lead for the first time. The Eagles managed to level the score after a touchdown by Jalen Hurts and a two-point conversion by the quarterback. However, a 26-yard run by Mahomes set up Harrison Butker to kick the game-winning field goal from 27 yards, securing the championship title for the Chiefs.

Mahomes’ performance in the Super Bowl earned him the title of the first player since 1999 to win the MVP, the Super Bowl and the Super Bowl MVP in the same season. He has been instrumental in leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game in all five seasons as a starter, and many believe that for the Reid-Mahomes era to be considered a dynasty, they need to win another Super Bowl.

Despite this, Mahomes remains humble, saying “I am not going to say a dynasty yet, we are not done.” Coach Andy Reid praised Mahomes for his hard work, saying “he wants to be the greatest player ever and that’s the way he goes about his business. And he does it humbly, there’s no bragging.”
