BEVERLY HILLS, January 28, (THEWILL) – Some stranded Nigerian immigrants in Saudi Arabia, have been repatriated.
They landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja via Saudi Air flight B773 at about 1:10 pm local time on Thursday.
This was confirmed by the chairperson of Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa and the commission via their separate handles.
“As promised, the Federal Govt has brought back stranded Nigerians from Saudi Arabia,” Dabiri-Erewa wrote.
According to the commission, the returnees are 384 in number, which includes 300 Males, 83 Females and one Infant.
The permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gabriel Aduda, had in a statement on Wednesday said “the Returnees will be conveyed via two Saudi Arabian Airlines.”
Aduda had said that the “first batch will arrive on the 28th of January at 11:50 am while the second will arrive 29th January at 10:35 am.”
