Steph Curry Equals Holiday Scoring Record In 116-107 GSW Win Over Phoenix Suns

December 26, (THEWILL) – In a contest of the National Basketball Association (NBA) top two teams, the Golden State Warriors upset the Suns 116-107 on Christmas Day to leapfrog them. The Golden State Warriors is now the league’s No. 1 seed, 0.5 games ahead of Phoenix, after the away win.

Not for the last time, Warriors’ guard Steph Curry led the way with 33 points and six assists, tying his career high for the holiday season. Draymond Green, who only had eight points, had ten assists, eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.

With 10 points in the closing five minutes of the game, forward Otto Porter proved to be a game-changer. He had 19 points and six rebounds in the game.

Although on the losing side, Suns guard Chris Paul led the team with 21 points and six assists.

Golden State (27-6) has won six of its last seven games and will face Denver on Tuesday night at home. With Saturday’s win, Phoenix (26-6) snapped a five-game winning run.
