Sports Philanthropists To Be Recognised At Upcoming Award Ceremony

January 16, (THEWILL) – The 2023 edition of the Nigerian Sports Philanthropists Award is set to take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, according to a statement from the chairman of the organizing committee, Vincent O. Michael.

The event, which is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and the Society for the Promotion of Sports, will be held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

The award ceremony was originally scheduled for January 20, 2023, but was postponed in order to ensure that it is a credible event that will leave a lasting impression on the worthy awardees, according to Vincent. The award will honour Nigerians and organizations that have used their resources to support sports in the country since its independence in 1960.

“We assure our guests of our readiness to put together an outing that will befit their efforts and time,” said Vincent in the statement.
