Spanish Club Cadiz Join Nigerians In Mourning Late Rapper Mohbad

September 27, (THEWILL) – Spanish top-flight football club, Cadiz, have joined Nigerians around the world in paying tribute to late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who passed away on September 13, at the age of 27.

Following his death, protests and calls for justice have continued in Nigeria over the circumstances surrounding the “Peace” hitmaker’s passing. Tributes have also poured in from fans, celebrities and politicians.

Joining the tributes, Cadiz football club, currently 9th in La Liga, announced that Mohbad’s jersey will be displayed on their substitute bench during their next match against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

According to a Facebook post by the club on Tuesday, the late artist’s jersey will give them the strength they need to win the game against Vallecano. The post said that the “Cadista jersey will be on the bench to give us the strength we need to win the match” as a “tribute for Mohbad in our temple.”
