October 01, (THEWILL) – Farida Fasasi, wife of late Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan, on Friday celebrated the legendary singer as she marked their 12th marriage anniversary.
Farida took to her Instagram page to share a video of their marriage journey.
Captioning the video, she stated that her husband, who she fondly called ‘aboo’ can’t be replaced even though death has separated them.
She wrote, “aboo, 1st of October, our family and friends gathered to share our joy and celebrate with us as we sealed our beautiful love in marriage.
“The song ‘Love language’ is a testament of our decision to weather the storm together above our tribe, tongues and religion.
“Death has separated us but in my heart you are irreplaceable. I love you always and forever. Happy 12 years anniversary baby.”
Sound Sultan died on July 11, 2021, after a protracted battle with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. According to Islamic rites, he was buried the same day in the United States.
