Adeshola Ajibade Ojora Shola, the only son of retired society matriarch, Lanre Ojora and her late husband, Bade Ojora recently clocked 50. Rather than throw a lavish party to commemorate his new age, he chose to celebrate it quietly with his immediate family members and very few close friends. Having followed in his mother’s footsteps and dropped off the party scene, it is understandable why he chose to have a quiet shindig. Besides, Shola has become more spiritual over the years and considers somethings too frivolous to engage in.
Shola began his career in the energy sector, starting off in the upstream sector and later traded petroleum products in the downstream sector. After six years in Oil & Gas, he decided to explore a different sector and went into Property Development. He was a director with Primrose Development Company (PDC), a property development firm owned by Otunba Subomi Balogun, the Chairman and CEO of the first wholly owned Nigerian Merchant bank, First City Monument Bank. He was in charge of sales & business development until 2012 when he moved on to other things after spending 16 years. He however remains a non-executive director of PDC. Currently, he is the Managing Director of ROSACheck Links Limited, which is a background screening company. He also sits on the board of a few other companies in the Technology and Digital space.
