The Primetime Emmy Awards, commonly referred to as the Emmys, is an annual ceremony that celebrates outstanding achievements in American primetime television.

Established by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) in 1949, the awards recognise excellence in various categories, including acting, writing, directing, and technical achievements across genres such as drama, comedy, and limited series.

Divided into two ceremonies—the Primetime Emmys and the Creative Arts Emmys—the awards honour performances, shows, and technical achievements in categories like acting, writing, and directing. Winning an Emmy is a significant career milestone, boosting the reputation of shows and talent alike.

The ceremony, which took place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, was hosted by Eugene and Dan Levy.
