November 12, (THEWILL) – After rumours in Spain stated that Sergio Aguero’s heart ailment could cause him to retire at the age of 33, the Barcelona forward has vowed he will not make any hasty decisions on his future.
THEWILL recalls that during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves on October 30, the former Manchester City striker complained of chest issues. He took a cardiological test in the hospital and will continue to get therapy while his health is evaluated.
Barcelona later revealed that Aguero’s discomfort was caused by a heart arrhythmia, which would necessitate three months of treatment.
But, on Friday, Catalunya Radio reported that testing proved Aguero’s heart issue was worse than first thought, potentially ending his career prematurely.
However, Aguero responded to the rumours by stating that he would not make a decision on his future until his therapy is over. The Argentine took to Twitter for his response: “To address the rumours, I can say that I am following the advice of the club’s doctors, completing tests and treatment and seeing my progress after 90 days.
