July 20, (THEWILL) – The Senator representing Anambra Central, Victor Umeh, has debunked reports that the Senate has received the list of ministerial nominees from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Umeh was reacting to reports in sections of the media (no THEWILL) that the Senate has received the ministerial list from the executive.
Umeh said the Senate could not have been discussing the ministerial list during its closed-door meeting when the Senators had not received the list.
THEWILL earlier reported that the Senate, on Thursday, dissolved into a closed-door session to set up an internal security ad hoc committee chaired by Senator Danjuma Goje.
The Senate, thereafter, adjourned plenary until Tuesday, July 25.
