August 18, (THEWILL) – The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa (APC Niger), has extended warm congratulations to former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, on his 83rd birthday anniversary.
Sen. Musa, in a statement made available to newsmen in Kano on Sunday, described Gen. Babangida as a diligent and hardworking officer who earned a reputation as a distinguished military officer and a gentleman.
He praised Babangida’s exemplary leadership qualities, citing his ability to demonstrate true courage in challenging situations.
The lawmaker also commended Babangida’s tenure as military president, during which he brought stability and sanity to the polity.
He characterised Babangida as a paragon of trust, devotion, diligence, resilience, perseverance and determination.
Senator Musa said Babangida’s strides and accomplishments over the years stand as a testament to the enduring impact of his leadership.
