June 21, (THEWILL) – Remo Stars owner and President, Hon. Kunle Soname, expressed his delight with their progress by generously rewarding the players and staff of the club with monetary gifts.
In recognition of their outstanding performance in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) this season, Soname presented a total sum of N28 million to his team. The club President’s gesture aimed to convey his appreciation to the employees for their commendable work in the recently concluded domestic season.
With an impressive second-place finish in the Super 6, Remo Stars had a remarkable 2023 season in the NPFL. The Sky Blues replicated their earlier success in the regular but shortened campaign, securing a berth in the CAF Champions League roster.
As a token of his admiration for their remarkable achievement, the club President celebrated the players and staff. The players were awarded the highest amount, receiving a total of N20 million, while Coach Daniel Ogunmodede, his support staff, and the medical team were each presented with a cheque of N5 million.
The club media and the supporters club were also not overlooked, as they received N1.5 million each. Additionally, two distinguished guests, who attended the event at the Remo Stars home in Ikenne, contributed an extra N1.5 million to the team’s jubilation.
