April 02, (THEWILL) –Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, has felicitated with Muslim Umah in the country, particularly those in the state on the beginning of fasting in the Holy Month of Ramadan.

This was contained in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, and made available to newsmen on Saturday

Abiodun, who described the month of Ramadan as one with abundant mercy of Allah, urged faithfuls to use the opportunity to pray to Allah for the nation to overcome insecurity, socio-economic challenges.

He said that the Holy Month with its attendant virtues should serve as a guide, moral and spiritual compass for the Muslims, urging them to uphold the tenets of Ramadan.

The governor, who opined that the country is passing through various challenges, said Muslims should endeavour to supplicate before Allah in order for Nigeria to overcome the socioeconomic and security obstacles.

He added that as the month demands the faithful to engage in doing more good deeds and giving to the needy, charging them to forgive their brothers and extend love to the less privileged.

Abidoun, therefore, prayed to Allah to make the fasting easy and less-stressful for the Muslims, noting that the fasting will be accepted as an act of worship by Allah.
