September 14, (THEWILL) – Paris Saint-Germain maintained their perfect start to the 2024/2025 Ligue 1 season with a 3-1 comeback victory against Stade Brestois at the Parc des Princes. This marks the seventh time in PSG’s history that they have won their opening four league games.
The match began with PSG dominating possession and creating several chances. Marco Bizot, Brest’s goalkeeper, made impressive saves to deny Nuno Mendes and Joao Neves early on. However, Brest took a surprise lead when Romain Del Castillo converted a penalty after Mendes fouled Ludovic Ajorque in the box.
PSG equalised just before half-time through Ousmane Dembele, who headed in a cross from Marco Asensio. The home side continued to press forward in the second half, with Dembele looking particularly dangerous on the right wing.
Fabian Ruiz put PSG ahead with a curling shot from the edge of the box, assisted by Achraf Hakimi. Dembele then added a third goal shortly after, tapping in a rebound from Randal Kolo Muani’s blocked shot.
The victory keeps PSG at the top of Ligue 1. Their next match is a UEFA Champions League fixture against Girona on Wednesday. Brest, meanwhile, will make their UCL debut against Austrian side Sturm Graz.
