August 02, (THEWILL) – The Chairman Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa (APC, Niger), has appealed to Nigerian youths to express their grievances peacefully and within the ambit of the law.
Sen Musa, in an interview with newsmen in Kano on Friday, emphasised the importance of calmness and dialogue in addressing the concerns of the youths.
He cautioned against resorting to violence or destructive behaviour and assured the protesters that President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly leadership had heard their concerns and urged them to give the President time to address them.
He warned against allowing selfish individuals to exploit the situation for political gains, emphasising the need to rally behind the current administration in its efforts to implement policies and programmes that would improve the lives of Nigerians.
The lawmaker also urged the youths not to become agents of destruction but should work together to preserve the country’s hard-earned unity.
“Don’t allow selfish individuals to exploit you for their political gains. Instead, let’s rally behind the current administration’s efforts to implement policies and programmes that will improve the lives of Nigerians.
“I urge Nigerian youths not to become agents of destruction. We have only one Nigeria and we must work together to preserve its hard-earned unity.
“I strongly appeal to Nigerian youths to work together to preserve the country’s unity, we have only one Nigeria, and we must work together to preserve its hard-earned unity”, he concluded.
