December 02, (THEWILL) – A woman reported to be connected to Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, was aided by police after a dispute at a hotel in northern Italy left her distressed on the street.
The event occurred late Thursday night into early Friday morning at the Ambassador Hotel in Udine, Italy. A local police patrol responded to the hotel, where they found a woman with a young child, crying and partially unclothed, with a suitcase in tow.
According to local news sources, the woman’s partner is Udinese and Nigerian national team goalkeeper Okoye. The pair had apparently been embroiled in a heated argument inside the hotel, prompting the woman to be removed from the premises against her will.
While details remain vague, the woman ultimately chose not to press charges over the altercation. Hotel management also did not report any disturbance either. Football club Udinese also emphasised that it was a “private matter” with no criminal implications.
The dramatic incident, though eye-catching, seems to have been contained as an unfortunate personal dispute. Police asserted no further action would be taken as no criminal activity occurred. The woman and child have not been officially identified.
