July 06, (THEWILL) – The Editor of 257ureports, Ikenna Ezenekwe, has been arrested by security operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
Ezenekwe was reportedly arrested on Tuesday and taken to Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to his wife, the Anambra-born journalist was arrested over a story he wrote on Primus Odili, the former Chief of Staff to former Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano.
She added that after several failed efforts to make her husband confess the source of his report, he was transferred from Force Headquarters to Maitama Police Station for further interrogation.
“Even at the Police Station in Maitama, the Police has refused to release him, except he discloses the source of the said story”, she added.
