May 01, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Police Force has declared wanted, the lady in a viral TikTok video, who claimed to have slept with a dog.
THEWILL reports that Veegodess, the Lekki lady, who made the viral TikTok video, had claimed she slept with a dog for N1.7million.
The slim, light skinned lady with TikTok user ID @Veegodess, had claimed in the video, that contrary to what people think about sleeping with a dog, she had never contracted any disease. Adding that there was no big deal about bestiality.
“What is the big deal there? I only slept with a dog, I didn’t kill somebody. You, in your life, you have done worse and besides, have you seen N1.7 million before? As if it’s a big deal. And mind you I’m not infected or anything. Stop dying on the matter, I’m enjoying the money”, she stated in the first video.
But in a formal response from the authorities on the issue, Force Police Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Muyiwa Adejobi, said posting bestial-natured videos online is unacceptable.
In a terse statement, Adejobi said, “I really want us to take necessary action on these ladies that are involved in unnatural offences (including bestiality) and post same online.
“We want to urge you to give us any useful information on how to get these ladies. We need to fish them out please. Thanks.”
Adejobi also vowed that the police would apprehend the lady in the viral video.
Unknown to many, sleeping with animals, otherwise known as bestiality, is a crime in Nigeria.
Akande Paul, the Managing Partner of Universe Attorneys, reacting to the sad development, said the Criminal Code Act and the Penal Code Act criminalise sleeping with an animal.
He explained that the offence attracts 14 years imprisonment if convicted.
He said, “It is a Criminal offence for anybody in Nigeria to have sex with lower animals like dogs, horses, cats, cows, etc. Oral sex (‘receiving head’) from an animal is a sexual act which constitutes sexual offence.
“Section 284 of the Penal Code Act states that ‘Whoever has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to fourteen years and shall also be liable to fine.”
Meanwhile, THEWILL earlier reported that the lady who stirred the crisis with her claim of sleeping with the dog, has disowned the entire video as a prank.
She posted two more videos in which she debunked her earlier claim, begging Nigerians for forgiveness.
Veegodess explained that it was a prank and advised people to shun bestiality.
She said: “Guys I was just catching cruise. I didn’t sleep with any dog. My boyfriend just broke up with me; help me to beg my boyfriend. I’m sorry for the video I made, it was purely cruise.
“I don’t advice people to be with animals. It was just a prank video, just cruise; you guys know Nigerians and cruise. I apologise to the public, please take my apology.”
