October 03, (THEWILL) – Liverpool and Manchester City drew 2-2 at Anfield in a fiercely contested Premier League match that swung both ways on Sunday.
Goals from Sadio Mane, Phil Foden, Mohamed Salah, and Kevin De Bruyne ensured the points were shared.
Foden gave James Milner a hard time down the left wing as City dominated the opening half. After 21 minutes, Alisson Becker denied England international from scoring to break the deadlock.

De Bruyne also missed a fantastic opportunity, heading over the crossbar when he could have at least struck the target.
In the second half, though, the dynamic shifted when Sadio Mane tucked home after being sent through by Salah, who ran past Joao Cancelo before slicing open the City defence with a through pass.
After superb play on the edge of the box by Gabriel Jesus, the away team responded just 10 minutes later with Foden firing a low strike into the bottom corner of the Liverpool net.
Salah restored the lead when he evaded four City defenders before finishing superbly, but de Bruyne equalised with a drive that beat Alisson courtesy to a deflection off Joel Matip.
City manager Pep Guardiola was enraged by referee Paul Tierney’s decision not to issue Milner a second yellow card for a nasty tackle on Bernardo Silva just seconds before Salah scored Liverpool’s second goal.
The draw, though unsatisfying for both teams, was very entertaining and played at a high tempo.
