BEVERLY HILLS, September 01, (THEWILL) – The crisis rocking the Plateau State Chapter of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is far from over

This follows a threat by the Governorship candidate of the PDP in the 2019 election, retired General Jeremiah Useni and some elders of the Party, to set up a Parallel Executives, two days after the conduct of the state Congress and election of new executives, to run the affairs of the party for the next four years.

General Useni, a founding father of the PDP in the state along with some aggrieved aspirants and chieftains of the party, had boycotted the August 29 Congress in Jos.

Speaking on the crisis, Jerry Useni and his group say they are disappointed by the decision of some individuals, who are bent on destroying the party, after the Governor Samuel Ortom’s peace intervention meeting.

As at the time of this Report, the aggrieved members are also threatening to decamp from the Party.
