November 09, (THEWILL) – The Super Eagles’ camp in Tangier, Morocco, is bustling with activity ahead of their matchdays five and six qualifying fixtures against Liberia and Cape Verde on November 13 and 16, respectively.

According to the information from the Super Eagles’ social media release, 21 of the 24 invited players have already arrived in camp ahead of the team’s first training session on Tuesday.

Maduka Okoye, a new signing from Watford, Daniel Akpeyi, Paul Onuachu, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Kevin Akpoguma, Wilfred Ndidi, Jamilu Collins, and Alex Iwobi are among those in camp. With them are captain Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun, and Joe Aribo.

But that is not all as Chidera Ejuke, Frank Onyeka, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidozie Awaziem, Samuel Chukwueze, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, and Zaidu Sanusi are among the players already in Morocco for the match against the Lone Stars.

However, Napoli’s forward Victor Osimhen, returnee striker Odion Ighalo, and John Noble have yet to be reunited with the rest of their teammates, although they are anticipated to do so later on Tuesday.

Nigeria, who currently leads their group with nine points after four games, is aiming for a seventh World Cup appearance in Qatar, having previously competed in the 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014, and 2018 editions.

Following the conclusion of the group stage, the winners of all ten groups will compete in two-legged home and away matches to choose Africa’s five flag bearers for Qatar 2022.
