Olu Falae Resigns As SDP Chairman

SAN FRANCISCO, February 08, (THEWILL) – Chief Olu False has resigned as the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Falae, the Presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (A.D) in 1999 said he is quitting the position on health grounds.

However, there are indications that Falae’s resignation is linked to the current crisis rocking the party.

THEWILL recalls that the SDP, on Thursday, endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as its chosen candidate for the Feb. 16th Presidential election.

However, its presidential candidate, Donald Duke, has insisted that he remains on the ballot box and has not stepped down for Buhari.
