March 16, (THEWILL) – Prince Eyo Oku, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate for the Odukpani State Constituency in Cross River State, has advised the electorate to rise up and make a change.

He said the change envisaged will be possible when the people come out en masse and vote the SDP in the state constituency elections.

Prince Oku disclosed this in Odukpani in his message to the people ahead of this weekend’s gubernatorial and house of assembly elections.

According to him, “To the people of Calabar, Cross River State and Odukpani, rise up with what you’ve seen and know, make a change.

“Put forth your anger, pains, disappointment, and vote SDP for Odukpani state house of assembly come Saturday, 11 March, 2023.

“Come out en masse and vote for good representation and good developmental strives.

“Vote SDP not as party faithful alone, but as my political allies, vote and let your vote count so I may be a voice in the upper chamber of the state to protect and defend the Constitutional rights and interest reserved for you all”, he said.

He said it’s time to stop the chaos in the area which has been one of the strongest in the state with bigwigs and political gladiators yet still underdeveloped/disenfranchised.

He added that politics should not be seen as a game of deceit, but of truth and sincerity of purpose.

In addition, he added that “politics should not be a game for personal gain or economic investment, but as a call to service; not as a business that doesn’t matter, but that to which the best and the youths must participate, so that election victory will not always be for the contestants alone, but ultimately for the people”, Prince Oku said.
