NNPP/Kwankwasiyya Movt Holds Stakeholders Meeting Across 17 LGAs Ahead of 2027 Polls

June 9, (THEWILL)- The New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Plateau State has commenced stakeholders meeting in the 17 Local Government Councils, LGCs in the state ahead of the 2027 general election.

The Plateau State Coordinator of the party, Abdulrahman Muhammad Maikadama, disclosed that the NNPP is commencing early consultations to harness lessons learnt from the 2023 general election and plan ahead.

Abdulrahman Muhammad made this disclosure at a town hall meeting held at Sharna Hotel in Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State at the weekend.

He stressed that the stakeholder’s meeting was organized by State Chapter to drum up support in Plateau State for its presidential candidate in the 2023 general poll, Rabiu Kwankwaso, whom he described as a man of integrity and a respecter of common people.

He said the meetings would be held across the three senatorial districts of the state to assess its strengths and weaknesses during the last election and proffer solutions to the challenges.

Muhammad in his welcome address said the meeting was called to look into challenges during and after the conduct of the 2023 election and to harvest experiences that will form part of advocacy campaigns for winning elections in the future.

According to him, “Elections are essentially anchored in law. It is therefore important that we analyze the past election vis-à-vis the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.”

While highlighting the loss, gains from the election, Muhammad noted that the NNPP is prepared to build synergy to Clinique the state in 2027 .

In his contribution, a NNPP/Kwankwasiyya Contact Committee member in the state, Sule Yau Tariwa harped on the contributions of their political leader, Kwankwaso and his impact in repositioning democracy in Nigeria.

“The truth is that the Kwankwasiyya Movement is everywhere in Nigeria and the masses are willing to support him to become the next president of Nigeria owing to the projects executed during his tenure in office as governor of Kano state.

Besides, the Kwankwasiyya movement had impacted immensely on education , infrastructural development, health care delivering service and human capital development ,” he said.

“This stakeholder’s meetings are a citizen’s call to action. For us to enjoy the benefits of good governance we must play our roles as stakeholders to expose the lies and propaganda, with the education of our citizens.”
