October 11, (THEWILL) – The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Malam Mele Kyari, is in deep mourning over the death of his daughter, Fatima.
Aged 25, the late Fatima passed away on Friday.
The deceased was buried this afternoon in line with Islamic injunctions.
Vice President Kashim Shettima led other mourners at the funeral prayers which was held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja.
Shettima prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Fatima and asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the painful exit of their daughter, who was in her prime.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has condoled with Kyari over the death of his daughter.
The President, in a condolence statement issued on Friday evening, by Bayo Onanuga, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, sympathises with Kyari and the rest of the family on the irreparable and painful loss.
While urging the Kyari family to stay strong at these trying times, President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of Fatima
