June 15, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s tallest man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, has died at the age of 48.

Afeez, measured at 7 foot 4 inches, had reportedly been ill for months due to a reported battle with chronic hip arthritis.

It was gathered that he was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Wednesday evening, June 14, after he developed some complications.

This is coming a few weeks after the actor solicited financial help to undergo surgery. He died around 7:30pm on Wednesday. He has since been buried at his residence at Community Road, Akoka.

Oladimeji’s last post on Facebook was made a few weeks ago after he recovered from the surgery. He had taken to Facebook to thank God for a successful surgery.

“Thank God Almighty for a successful operation. Now it’s time for therapy,” he had written.
