Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Top 49, 000

BEVERLY HILLS, August 16, (THEWILL) – Nigeria now has 49, 068 confirmed cases of the coronavirus after the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, said 298 new cases were recorded Sunday.

According to data released by the agency, recoveries now stands at 36, 497 while one new death was recorded to bring the tally so far to 975.

Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases Sunday with 108, while Kaduna posted 49 and Lagos 47. See below for a full breakdown.

The NCDC says it has so far tested 350, 589 samples as at August 16, 2020.
