SAN FRANCISCO, February 08, (THEWILL) – The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has observed that Nigerians are “largely misunderstanding” the change mantra through which the All Progressives Congress, APC, rode to power. He consequently begged for understanding.
The Minister disclosed this on Monday during an interactive session with members of the Advertising Association of Nigeria, ADVA, explaining that, “It is true we campaigned on the change mantra, but this change mantra is largely misunderstood by Nigerians.
“They misinterpreted it to mean that as soon as Buhari is sworn in, immediately things will change in Nigeria.
“It does not happen that way. Nigerians cannot continue to do things the same way and expect different results. Indiscipline and corruption are not restricted to people at the top. Each Nigerian has a role to play and that is why we are launching the campaign.”
Mohammed further told the gathering of marketing directors of corporate organizations that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is trying to lay a foundation where companies will be able to operate.
He pointed out that once corruption is curbed, the nation will still be able to actualize set goals even if oil sells for $10 per barrel.
