NFF Says Will Pay Yekini, Okwaraji’s Mothers Monthly Stipend

BEVERLY HILLS, May 07, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, says it will pay the mothers of deceased Super Eagles Super stars, Rashidi Yekini and Samuel Okwaraji a monthly stipend of N30, 000 henceforth.

The gesture comes a day after the Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, said his Ministry has placed the aged women on a monthly stipend of N10, 000. This was after presenting Yekini’s mother N50, 000, a bag of rice and beverages for the holy month of Ramadam.

“In furtherance to, and in appreciation of, the recent pronouncement of the HM Sports @SundayDareSD to put the mothers of late ex-internationals Sam Okwaraji and Rashidi Yekini on a monthly stipend, the NFF has decided to support this noble initiative with a further monthly stipend of N30k to each of the two matriarchs,” the NFF tweeted Thursday.
