July 18, (THEWILL) – The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, has inaugurated the newly reconstituted boards of three leagues at the NFF secretariat in Abuja.
During the ceremony, Gusau urged the board members to spare no effort in driving the growth and advancement of Nigerian football. The President underscored the importance of their roles in facilitating the progress and development of the Nigerian league. He harped on the need for collective efforts in elevating the standard of football in the country.
Silas Agara was appointed as the Chairman of the Nation-Wide League One (NLO), marking the reconstitution of the board for the league. Serving alongside Agara is vice chairman Adeoye Adepeju, CEO Hassan Garo, and board members Sabo Duste, Ogheneochuko Ambakedermo, Tunji Onatola, Bucknor Akinlade, and Danladi Ibrahim. In a similar vein, George Aluo was appointed as the new chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), assisted by vice chairman Khamisu Mailantarki and CEO Emmanuel Attah.
The NNL board will now comprise Yakubu Sarma, Sani Mohammed, Dr. Donald Ikpe, Joseph Ebowusim, and Dotun Sanusi, while the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) will be led by marketing expert Nkechi Obi, supported by vice chairman Hussaina Suleman and board members Rukayat Alaya, Hadiza Musa, Ayodele Thomas, Henrietta Ehiobor, and Danny Nazzal.
The goal of the NFF move to reconstitute these boards is to based on their objective to strengthen the leagues and ensure their efficient functioning under the newly appointed leadership.
