October 19, (THEWILL) – Everton continued their improved form in the English Premier League on Saturday with a convincing 2-0 victory against Ipswich Town at Portman Road. The win extended Everton’s unbeaten streak to four matches, while Ipswich remain without a league victory this season.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Iliman Ndiaye capitalised on Ipswich’s defensive lapse. Jack Harrison’s cross was not properly cleared, allowing Ndiaye to strike from close range. Ipswich briefly thought they had a chance to equalise when awarded a penalty, but VAR intervened, overturning the decision after review.

Everton doubled their lead five minutes before half-time, further dampening the home crowd’s spirits. Centre-back Michael Keane found the net with an impressive finish from an acute angle at the near post. The goal solidified Everton’s control over the match heading into the break.

The second half saw Everton maintain their dominance, creating several opportunities to extend their lead. However, they were unable to convert these chances into additional goals. Ipswich struggled to mount a significant offensive threat until late in the game, when they managed a brief flurry of attempts.

This victory marks Everton’s first away league win in 15 attempts, boosting them to 16th place with eight points. Ipswich Town, meanwhile, sit in 17th position with four points.
