August 18, (THEWILL) – Napoli Manager, Antonio Conte, apologised to fans after his team’s 3-0 defeat against Hellas Verona in Serie A on Sunday. The 55-year-old took full responsibility for the loss, which saw Napoli concede three goals in the second half.
Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, Conte said, “We immediately let Verona have a shot at the start of the second half, and in the second instance we went behind. Then we melted like snow in the sun.” He acknowledged the need to apologise to Neapolitan supporters for the poor performance.
