May 31, (THEWILL) – Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, who has enjoyed a sensational season with Napoli, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Best Striker in Serie A accolade.
The 24-year-old Nigerian international has been in scintillating form, finding the back of the net 25 times in the Italian top flight, along with providing four assists. Osimhen’s outstanding contributions have played a vital role in Napoli securing their first Scudetto title since 1990, firmly etching his name in the annals of Italian football history.
Notably, Osimhen’s goal tally in Serie A has surpassed the previous records set by legendary African strikers Samuel Eto’o, for a single campaign, and George Weah, throughout Serie A history.
