SAN FRANCISCO, October 09, (THEWILL) – THEWILL) – Rafael Nadal is not nicknamed “King of Clay” for nothing. So far at Roland Garros, he has given fans justification after justification for that title. Today, he reached the French Open final without dropping a set as the Argentine Diego Schwartzman became the latest man to be dispatched with aplomb.
The Spaniard avenged his defeat to Schwartzman at the Italian Open in September after coming through 6-3 6-3 7-6(0) on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Should he triumph in the final on Sunday, he will draw level with Roger Federer (20) in the men’s all-time Grand Slam charts. Standing on his path to that honour will be one of Novak Djokovic or Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Come Sunday, THEWILL will be here to see if anything will stand on Nadal’s advance to a record-extending 13th title in Paris.
