Music Executive Johnel Launches Record Label, Publishing Company

June 01, (THEWILL) – Now, more than ever, the Nigerian music industry is growing at an unprecedented speed, with new artistes and labels making their mark both locally and internationally.

Although a global pandemic may have put things on hold previously, it never stopped Nigerian creatives from continuing to do what they do best – innovate – evident in the launch of the new record label, Nnamani Music Group, by Johnel NG and Nnamani Grace Odi.

The record label will focus on activities and projects that enrich the music industry both in Nigeria and abroad, with Johnel intending to build a roster of established and emerging artistes. Nnamani Music Group will also be distributed digitally worldwide by the American One Revolution People’s Music.

Working alongside Johnel is Nnamani Grace Odi, who will be managing the label as co-CEO.

The new label will not focus on one specific genre, instead aiming to sign acts from various styles and backgrounds.

“I aspire to step into a different role in the industry. To assist new and established artistes from the perspective of an artiste,” Johnel said in a statement.

“Over the past five years, I’ve learnt a lot, and I’m thrilled to apply my expertise to this new business. I’m glad to share the music we have collaborated on thus far and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come with a varied group of individuals.”

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, Johnel is a Nigerian music executive and producer. Since 2022, Johnel has put out multiple extended plays under the ONE Revolution People’s Music label.

Ever since, his goal has been to help emerging artistes all across the world.
