Mbappe Hat-Trick Powers PSG To 6-2 Whipping Of Montpellier

March 18, (THEWILL)- Paris Saint-Germain registered their first Ligue 1 victory in four matches after defeating Montpellier 6-2 away from home on Sunday. Kylian Mbappe scored a second hat-trick of the season for league leaders as PSG went riot.

The visitors took an early lead through Vitinha in the 14th minute. After assisting Vitinha for the opener, Mbappe doubled the advantage himself eight minutes later with a clever one-two with Randal Kolo Muani. Montpellier responded before half-time through Arnaud Nordin and a Teji Savanier penalty after a foul on Tanguy Coulibaly.

Mbappe reclaimed the lead for PSG five minutes into the second half. Lee Kang-in extended the advantage shortly after in the 53rd minute. Mbappe completed his treble soon afterwards courtesy of an assist from Vitinha. Nuno Mendes added a sixth for the capital club in stoppage time on the end of a Vitinha pass.
