November 07, (THEWILL) – Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder signed by Manchester United in 2022, has reportedly emerged as one of the top targets of clubs in the Saudi Pro League ahead of 2024.
The 31-year-old moved to Old Trafford in a £70 million deal from Real Madrid in August 2022 and was instrumental in helping United reach the FA Cup final and win the Carabao Cup last season. However, his form has dipped during the current 2023/2024 campaign amid United’s struggles.
Sources indicate several Saudi clubs are exploring potential deals for Casemiro in 2024, with even an approach this January possible. United are not actively looking to sell but would consider a substantial offer given their ongoing FFP concerns. Captain Bruno Fernandes has also attracted interest, though no 2023 deal is expected.

The potential sale would come during a period of transition for United, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company, INEOS, set to acquire a 25% stake in the club. Experts predict this could lead United to pivot away from their criticised post-Ferguson transfer strategy.
If Casemiro does complete a 2024 switch to the Middle East, he will follow other big names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar in making the lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League as it continues major investment in world-class talent.
