December 15, (THEWILL) – Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to loan out midfielder, Donny van de Beek, for the remainder of the 2023 season. The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent.
The 26-year-old Dutch international has struggled for playing time since joining United from Ajax in 2020 for £40 million. He has made just 12 appearances under current manager, Erik ten Hag, who previously coached him at Ajax.
Van de Beek is eager to join Frankfurt’s squad before their winter break ends on 13 January. The Bundesliga side believe early integration will aid his adaptation and performance.

The loan agreement comes after reported interest from several clubs including Real Sociedad, Girona, Ajax, Crystal Palace and Fulham. Frankfurt are reported to have entered negotiations with United swiftly and have now secured a deal.
Van de Beek may not be the only departure this January. Defensive midfielder, Casemiro, has reportedly acknowledged his United career is likely ending amidst interest from Saudi Arabia. Forwards, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial, face uncertain futures, while Raphael Varane’s contract expires this summer.
