Man Utd Confirm Glastonbury Leak After Aitch Wore Genuine 2023/2024 Home Shirt

June 26, (THEWILL) – Manchester United’s new 2023/2024 home shirt made an unexpected appearance at Glastonbury on Saturday, three days before its official launch, when rapper Aitch proudly wore it on stage.

Normally, leaked kits surface discreetly, often through accidental early displays in sportswear shops, relying on sharp-eyed fans to spot and share them. However, when a performer at the world’s largest music festival dons the shirt live in front of thousands and millions more watching on TV, there leaves no room for doubt.

Since the leak, social media has been abuzz with images of the new United jersey, creating a wave of anticipation before the club or Adidas have even unveiled it. Unable to ignore the excitement, Manchester United has confirmed that the shirt worn by Aitch is indeed the official kit that players such as Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Ella Toone, and Leah Galton will be donning in the upcoming Premier League, WSL, and Champions League matches.

In a statement, the club said: “Our new home kit was seen for the first time on Saturday, when lifelong United fan and Manchester native, Aitch, wore it proudly during his acclaimed performance on Glastonbury’s legendary Pyramid Stage.”

In addition to the leaked kit, Manchester United has taken the opportunity to remind fans about the scheduled launch on 27 June. The club also disclosed the top-selling men’s team shirts through United Direct during the 2022/2023 season. Notably, Marcus Rashford claimed the top spot, followed by new signings Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony.

Bruno Fernandes secured the fifth spot, while Alejandro Garnacho, the promising teen starlet, ranked sixth. Completing the list was Christian Eriksen, who continues his inspiring comeback after a cardiac arrest in 2021. On the women’s side, England star Ella Toone’s number seven shirt was the most popular, with Katie Zelem, goalkeeper Mary Earps, and Leah Galton following closely behind.
