September 30, (THEWILL) – A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State, Kudla Milinda Satumari, on Sunday, said the recent flooding in Maiduguri has brought Nigerians together, transcending political party lines.

Speaking during a sympathy visit to the Government House, Satumari, popularly known as Haske, noted that Nigerians have shown remarkable empathy and solidarity with the flood victims, regardless of their political affiliations.

He described this display of unity as a “good omen,” highlighting the unparalleled generosity from across party divides.

During the visit, Haske donated N19.5 million to aid those affected by the flood, emphasising the importance of togetherness and national unity.

“The magnitude of destruction is heart-wrenching,” he said. “The loss of lives, properties, and displacement caused by the flood is devastating.

“The generous contribution across political parties is unparalleled. I will say that this flood disaster has brought all political parties together and this is good because this shows we put humanity before our interests.”

Haske, who praised Nigerians, corporate bodies, and individuals for their continued support of the Borno State Government and its people, said the “demonstration of unity amidst diversity is truly commendable”.
